This module is for students taking the MSc/Diploma/Certificate in Animal Science. Content will also be made available as part of structured PhD programmes.
It is designed for graduates who want to develop their communications skills as well as knowledge of the processes in developing new solutions in agriculture. There is an urgent need to foster increased innovation in the Agri sector to address the challenges we face.
The online lectures and materials will give students the necessary foundation in professional development skills, help them develop and tailor their communication skills, foster improved professional development and appreciate the opportunities and challenges involved in driving innovations within the sector.
The module begins with a problem statement to address an issue of interest and the subsequent business canvas will set out a plan to address this problem. in the final lecture, students will present their business plan to peers and associated staff.
