As part of the MA Art History in the Autumn trimester, a series of weekly guided site visits to important research resources in Dublin is undertaken with members of the School’s staff (including the National Library of Ireland, National Gallery of Ireland, Centre for the Study of Irish Art, Irish Architectural Archive, National Irish Visual Arts Library, Trinity College Dublin, etc.). Where appropriate, PhD students may attend and participate in this MA module. Collections holdings, opportunities for research and available supports are highlighted at each visit, and staff members’ own research and utilisation of these resources are discussed in combination with students, archive and library staff. Participation in all of the research visits and a final writing assignment are the required components.
