Students who lecture and/or tutor for the School (or other Schools in the university, subject to approval) will be entitled to earn credit for this activity. Experience developing curricula, formulating teaching plans, delivering lectures/tutorials and assessments are vital aspects of postgraduate training that will be delivered through this experience. PhD students will be mentored during this process by permanent members of staff, and advised of other learning opportunities related to teaching and learning skill development. Ten teaching hours per trimester (and the related preparation & assessment time), and the completion of a final reflective writing assignment, will be deemed equivalent to fulfil the requirements of this module.
