This module seeks to introduce directors and prospective directors (i); to issues and challenges regarding executive remuneration and incentives (ii) to models used to inform strategy, strategy formulation and implementation, change management, factors influencing relations between board and company management, and board s responsibility for shaping and overseeing company strategy and (iii) driving and assessing performance of management in executing corporate strategy (financial, operational, non-financial aspects)

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this module, students should be able to:

* Evaluate the complexities of executive directors pay and incentives and contribute to board level decisions involving executive pay and selecting advisors for compensation / remuneration committees
* Appraise the business model of an organisation to establish the boundary conditions under which it is likely to succeed or fail
* Understand the importance of corporate strategy formulation and implementation, including the respective role of boards and management in this process
