- Critically evaluate the child protection process and their role within it requiring the handling of complex issues in which students make judgements whilst reflecting upon the wider professional issues and the social and ethical responsibilities of their role as a professional within this area.
- Integrate current theories of child protection and communication in their clinical reasoning.
- Reflect on the social and ethical issues arising in their clinical practice in relation to child protection.
- Synthesise contemporary theory and research to develop theoretical and conceptual frameworks supporting advanced professional practice in child welfare and protection
